Refer a Patient
For Pediatricians

A pediatric GLP-1 program
built to extend your care

Thryvwell manages the full clinical complexity of adolescent GLP-1 therapy: intake evaluation, lab ordering, prescribing, monthly monitoring, a personalized nutrition plan and coaching with a registered dietitian, and behavioral support.

You refer a patient. We handle the program. You stay informed at every step.

Our commitment to you

Everything you need to refer with confidence

01

Pediatric-only protocols

Every dosing guideline, growth monitor, and nutrition target is built for adolescents ages 12 to 17. This is not an adult program scaled down.

02

You stay fully informed

After every patient visit, you receive a written clinical summary: weight trend, current dose, lab results, and any flags. No login. No request needed. It arrives automatically.

03

Direct clinical line

If something changes with your patient, you can reach our clinical team directly by email. We respond within one business day.

What happens after you refer

Simple for you. Comprehensive for your patient.

The referral takes under two minutes. Everything after that is handled by our clinical team.

01
Same day

You submit the referral

Name, age, and primary concern. No fax, no paperwork. Our team receives it immediately.

02
In 3 business days

We confirm eligibility and contact the family

We review the referral against our criteria: age 12 to 17, BMI at or above the 95th percentile (or 85th percentile with a weight-related comorbidity), and no contraindications. We reach out to the family directly to schedule the intake visit. If the patient does not qualify, we send you a clear explanation.

03
In 2 to 4 weeks

Intake, labs, and prescription

A 45 to 60 minute video intake with our clinical team covers health history, current medications, and family context. Labs are ordered through Quest or LabCorp. Once results return, the care team reviews and, if appropriate, initiates the GLP-1 prescription, which ships directly to the family.

04
Ongoing

Monthly monitoring, with summaries sent to you

Every four weeks: a clinical check-in for weight, side effects, and dose titration. A written summary goes to your email after every visit. If anything requires your attention, we contact you first. Between visits, patients will log meals, mood, and symptoms in the Thryvwell app (coming soon), giving the care team more context at every check-in.
