A single pediatric specialist visit averages $300 to $500 out of pocket. Thryvwell gives you a clinician, a registered dietitian, and a behavioral coach in one coordinated program, every month.
Thryvwell's program fee is eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement as a qualified medical expense. If you're in the 22% federal tax bracket, paying $299/month through your HSA or FSA effectively reduces your cost to around $233/month, saving approximately $792 per year compared to paying out of pocket. Higher brackets save more. The $199 intake visit is also FSA/HSA eligible.
Savings estimate based on 22% federal income tax rate. Actual savings depend on your tax bracket and plan. We recommend confirming eligibility with your HSA/FSA administrator.
The $299 monthly program fee covers all clinical services, coaching, and monitoring. GLP-1 medication is prescribed and shipped directly to your home and billed separately. Thryvwell prescribes brand-name, FDA-approved medications only — never compounded or unapproved formulations. Medication cost depends on your insurance coverage and the specific medication prescribed. Thryvwell accepts HSA and FSA payments, and we provide superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We help every family understand their medication options at the intake visit. Questions? Yes. The $199 intake visit is the first step for all new patients. It allows our clinician to review your child's health history, order labs, and determine whether GLP-1 therapy is appropriate before building a personalized care plan.
There are no required long-term contracts. That said, our clinical team recommends a minimum of 3 months for meaningful, lasting results. Most families see the greatest progress when they complete the initial program phase before transitioning to maintenance. You can pause or cancel at any time, though we will always work with you on a safe tapering plan before stopping medication.

Yes. Thryvwell services are generally eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement as qualified medical expenses. We recommend confirming with your plan administrator.
Most patients are on the active medication phase for 9 to 18 months, depending on their goals and clinical response. The program is designed to use medication as a bridge, not a permanent solution. Nutrition coaching, habit formation, and lifestyle changes continue throughout and beyond the medication phase.
Our goal is for your child to maintain their results independently. As the medication is tapered, your care team transitions focus to long-term habit reinforcement, nutrition plan and coaching, and regular check-ins. We never abruptly stop medication without a clinical plan in place.
You can pause your Monthly Care subscription at any time. Your care team will work with you on a safe plan for any medication tapering before pausing.
