What this eligibility check covers
Thryvwell provides doctor-supervised weight care for ages 12 to 26, including FDA-approved GLP-1 medications where clinically appropriate, nutrition guidance and behavioral support. This check takes about two minutes and asks for age, height and weight, and a short health history. It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis, and it does not replace an evaluation by a clinician.
Who typically qualifies
- Ages 12 to 26. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian provides consent and stays involved throughout.
- For ages 12 to 17, BMI at or above the 95th percentile for age and sex, consistent with the American Academy of Pediatrics 2023 guideline.
- For ages 18 to 26, BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher alongside a weight-related health condition.
- Only Wegovy and Saxenda are FDA-approved for adolescents under 18. A physician determines which medication, if any, is appropriate.
What happens after you finish
You will see whether the program is likely a fit and what the next step is. Nothing is prescribed from this form. If you qualify, a board-certified physician reviews your information and meets with you by video before any treatment decision is made. Not sure yet?
